The athletic abilities of these 2019 three signees are off the charts. Though I would put them all in one post

SF- Kyle Owens 6’6” 190 (Crespi HS) Enchino, CA (2-Stars)

SG- DJ Carter 6'6" 190 (Foothill Christian HS) San Diego, CA (3-Star)
https://twitter.com/DJ_Carter35/status/1094664683015917568

SG- Josh Vazquez 6'3" (Bishop Montgomery HS) Torrance, CA (2-Stars)

all 3 have a chance to play a lot next year. I would almost bet Carter and Owens get a good chance to have significant minutes

We all know, the GRIZ do need size. That will also help him to work himself into the rotation. I do hope he puts some muscle on. Other wise, he might have a few more growing pains.

Would like to see him around 205-210 range eventually. But 190 is Bobby’s weight at 6ft8

Thanks to the other players on the court not playing defense, or looking to even care, hard to really judge his or anyone's true talent. That actually looked lazier than the NBA All Star Game. Crap like that makes me hate all star games. The only one I like is the MLB All Star Game.

As for these 3 incoming Freshmen, I like them all, and have heard a lot of rave reviews of each. I honestly feel, all 3 will make it difficult to justify redshirting. Each of them have the talent to contribute as true freshman. These guys just might force Travis to go 9 or 10 deep. These 3, Egun, and Miller will be 5 new talents to add into the equation, along with Pridgett, Dorsey, Manuel, Falls, and Anderson make for a nice 10 man rotation. Brown showed a lot in his limited minutes. I'd like to believe and expect, either Kramer or Ben Carter to improve in the offseason as well. Yagi appears to be another player capable of contributing.

If everyone does as Travis expects with their off seasons, Travis will have a very nice problem to have next season. Coaches love having their players give them tough decisions to make regarding playing time. All that, despite losing arguably one of the best SR classes in GRIZ history. #thefutureisbright

Yeah, that made me laugh to. Everyone was standing around on defense watching what all the kids could do. If Egun, Miller, Ben Carter, Kramer, and Yagi dont put the time in this Summer off season, one or more of these incoming Freshmen could push for playing time.

Thanks for sharing the high school video clips, those are impressive. I hope that they can get acclimated to Missoula and college, and fit into the Travis-Team-First mentality.

Looks like the Globetrotters playing against the Washington Generals.

Having burned out on my work computer, I spent some time checking out where our three recruits went to high school.

Kyle Owens went to Crespi High, a Catholic Carmelite all-male high school northwest of LA.

Josh Vazquez went to Bishop Montgomery, a Catholic school in Torrance in the LA area (from the school photos, it appears they wear dress code "uniforms" every day).

DJ Carter when to Foothills Christian in El Cajon on the east side of San Diego.

All three are from Christian schools that at least pay lip service to creating a better person and citizen. I think that says something about the quality of our coaching staff. It also says something about the recruits' parents who sacrificed with the addition costs of a private high school education.

That may or may not be true. Private schools can and do recruit and give scholarships to kids. There have even been recent ones at Billings Central.

Thats good and all but its not like you can't find "good" recruits from public schools.

Grizmative24 - Did you get up on the wrong side of the bed? I didn't say or even hint that you couldn't find "good" recruits in public schools. Sheesh . . I will say that going to the private school is just one of many indicators. I assume that all things being equal, you would prefer to recruit the kid from the public school - that's fine.
