Not football related but kind of. Just watches JMU defeat Virginia in men’s basketball 52/49. Absolute bedlam on the floor. Looks like JMU has a very rabid fan base. They looked very good against a very polished Virginia team. Let’s hope they forget about football Friday night.
I thought we had a chance against E Washington and that turned out to be true. Our chances against their football team? There’s always hope but we will need some offensive production to do it.

Yeah, Virginia is down this year, but that's not the point. UVA is literally just over the mountain from JMU (45 minute drive), but for some reason they won't play us regularly. We used to play every year during the 70's and early 80's, but this was only the 5th game in the last 40 years. We've never beaten UVA either....combined 0-11 coming into last night. But we have a new arena, a new coach, and a fanbase that is just starting to get back into basketball. The stage was set, and the fans were hungry.

So yeah, Virginia is down. But they did win the NCAA tournament 2 years ago and they're still a powerhouse program. Since JMU's not eligible for the CAA title this year, this was by default the biggest game we'll have all season. Big win for the program, signaling our ascension into relevance again.

I was just saying that Virginia was down this year. Pretty sure that doesn't invalidate anything else that you posted.
