Haley's write-up of the STATS poll is out ... in the usual article format. They dropped EWU to #7 and SDSU dropped to #10. Amazingly, those are what I had guessed.

I really didn't think it would happen, but the pollsters did move Weber -- even with their losing overall record -- back into the top-25.

Now #11 in both polls.

I think Weber got back one of their starting QB's and the pollsters all year have had a thing for Weber.

Reasons to question the high ranking for Southern Illinois.
The only team with a winning record they beat was SDSU … the Jacks’ missed a PAT in overtime. (Remind us of anything?)

They had to go into overtime to win against pathetic Western Illinois (1-7). The Leathernecks went for 2 in the OT and failed to convert.

Aside from SDSU, the cumulative records of their FCS opponents is 12-25.

They'll get beat in Cedar Falls on Saturday and Cats will move to #4 during the bye week - unless any of the other top teams get beat (very possible), in which case the Cats move higher.

Cats will move up to 5 after this week, bye week couldn’t have come at a better time. This season gets so long for these college kids. Not the fans tho, we could “play” every week ;). Griz move back into top 10. I think UNI beats SIU.
