In case you missed it, this article about a potential move up for James Madison appeared a few hours ago.

As the article notes, their situation is quite different -- in terms of opportunities, and their ability to handle the potential cost -- compared to many other FCS programs.

The JMU stadium is already at almost 25 thousand capacity, so they don't need to factor in an expansion for that. (They also draw well.) Still, I wonder if they'd want to kick it up to maybe 35 thousand if they did move up.

JMU is very successful in many sports programs. They are in a good location and have a huge donator and fan base. Cost for them to travel in sports would not be an issue and logistics seem pretty solid as they could join a handful of places. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them go up soon.
