Don't know about "the first," but I do think it's a pattern that we'll see a lot. In a way, this case is not that big a change. Even before the new "one free transfer" rule, the NCAA was fairly lenient in granting exceptions to the old transfer rule when the coach moved on. I suspect that won't change a lot.
