The mayor of Bubcat town resigned yesterday. Apparently, he was using his bully pulpit to bully people.

Mehl’s resignation comes after the release of hundreds of documents from a freedom of information request, which appear to show a pattern of bullying and interference in city administration. The documents also show that former city manager Andrea Surratt accepted another job offer in part because of how Mehl treated her.

Also in the hundreds of pages of documents is a report alleging that Mehl “unexpectedly and somewhat aggressively” spun a chair that interim city manager Dennis Taylor was sitting in to make Taylor face him.
Down-right outrageous! The last vestiges of oppression and now hope for that woebegone community? Is new leadership needed from the top down? Probably at the college too.
Looks like there’s no transparency, no dialogue, in Gallyton valley. But this is a safe place for all Cat People to speak up. So what’s say you?

Shouldn't the abbreviation in the thread title be "FTCF"?

Here is another example of outrageous bullying in our papers this week—this one re the PSC in Helena

In other documents, PSC staff describe how Zinecker instructed one employee to wear a chicken suit when making a presentation on the commission website. Other employees present said Zinecker’s suggestion was inappropriate and harassing.

This isn't a scandal that should be swept under the recliner. Many of us have experienced an unexpected somewhat aggressive chair spin at the hands of a Gallatin Valley resident. They do it habitually. They are known in some circles as habitual unexpected somewhat aggressive chair spinners.

The only silver lining in this story is that it looks like Dennis Taylor has stayed the course in his management career, going from managing an All-American Burger to managing a medium-sized mountain town. My hope is that he learned his lesson from what happened with Brad Hamilton.

I believe Choachote hosts an annual summer BBQ, and before they can get their chicken-parm, freshman initiation starts with a chair-spin in a chicken suit.

Why do the Cat People who frequent this board seem so willing to comment on the most benign threads, but when a hard-hitting, investigative topic comes along, they’re nowhere to be found? Is it really that oppressive in the Gal-Val? Their silence is deafening.
