Some people seem to think moving football to spring would be easy. I'm not so sure that the case. Tough weather situations, shortened season and impacts on student athletes with eligibility and playing so many games in condensed time period with fall right around the corner.

"When you play a long season and when you get to spring practice,” Meyer said on a segment on Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff. “When you play 2,000 competitive reps, your body is not ready for contact in three months or two months. It’s not. I would not put those players in harm’s way.”

Pretty much a given at this point NO FCS games will occur. Money games gone, few fans, and no TV revenue. Simply not doable. DIV 2 football is going to have some new addition when this is all over.

Conference only and maybe 8 games if the FBS plays but I have my doubts there as well. Multiple school at risk at this level as well. Pretty much all of the MAC and the Sun Belt

You are awfully pessimistic aren’t you?

I'm still holding out hope... but not looking good.

realistic.

Univ. of Wyoming just announced they are expecting a 20% enrollment drop for fall. I think UM and MSU are probably looking at similar numbers. Just too much of a financial mess for small schools to overcome with that kind of tuition drop on top of trying to keep football going within fans. Thus losing even more money.

I just don't see it

Not specific to FCS, but

The Philadelphia Inquirer

BREAKING: To slow the spread of COVID-19, Philadelphia officials are expected to announce today that all large, public events will not be permitted through the end of February, spelling a fall and winter without some iconic Philly events.

Actually, there are quite a few FCS schools pretty close to Philly. Tubby Raymond and Joe Glenn ran that wonderful offense...
