Anyone hearing rumors about Gresch Jensen transferring to MSU? I heard today that he was in Bozeman and no longer with Texas State as of a couple days ago. It would make sense as the Memphis QB transferred to Texas State 4 days ago.

Has his appeal been denied already?
 
Seems late in the game to transfer anywhere unless the writing is already on the wall at Texas State. Lots of assumptions would have to be made in order to decide to leave now. Further, a qb walking in now should be way behind in Stitt’s offense where others had the spring and close to 3 weeks of fall camp. Also, last week I saw Jensen make a sweet threw in some video. Doesn’t make sense to me.
 
1) This is very likely untrue. Would be extremely late in the game to transfer.
2) He'd finally be going to a place where he'd have almost zero competition. lol
3) If this is true, I take back everything I ever said defending him during his battle with Sneed last Spring.

Agreed on all counts.
 
Also, even with this new kid coming in, I don't see how the job isn't Jensen's to lose down there. Stitt personally brought him in to run his offense. What an insane dick move that would be on Bob's part to do that and then be like "Thanks for coming, here's a clipboard." :lol:
 
According to the Texas State Football forums, Jensen was taking 80% of the QB2 snaps and lost the starting spot prior to any news of the Memphis transfer.

Well that IS interesting....then the transfer thing wouldn’t surprise me a bit, given the ages of his competition.
 
The kid that beat him out in camp also appears to be a sophomore with a redshirt year available. In 2018 he played in 9 games and started 5 as a true freshman.

If he goes to MSU, wonder what happens when LB1 becomes QB1 later in the season. Transfer to MT Tech?
 
If this happens, it seems like it would be the craziest thing in the history of college football. It would be hard for me to root against him. He got a raw job here.

If he leaves, he will have been on 4 teams and is only a junior. He will have lost the QB battle to Reese Phillips, Dalton Sneed, and now the sophomore at Texas State.

☝️This! Maybe he is not that good or just expects every thing handed to him.
 
I would find it hard to believe he would leave right now maybe after the year but to leave now would put a label on him I would think.
 
Was Jensen there in the spring, for spring ball?

I have some recollection that a transfer can come to a school and then transfer within something like 15 days of starting practice. My example was an FBS guy going to another FBS school (I think with a waiver), and then dropping down to FCS right away. Think of the Nebraska rb going to San Diego St to FCS. Not that that's happening.
 
I checked the San Marcos newspaper, and it said the QB decision is still up in the air. HC said he normally makes his decision two weeks before the first game. Of three candidates, no one is clearly ahead of the others. Texas A & M on the 29th.
