ROOT Sports Streaming

Posted this over on BN, thought ya'll would appreciate it as well:

Last year for those of us who don't have cable and/or ROOT, you could sign up for DirecTVNow and watch it via the Audience network. DirecTVNow generally has specials, but their packages now start at $40/month, which includes ESPN and ROOT.

I noticed today that AT&T has a new barebones streaming service, which includes the Audience network (but not ESPN). It is $15/month and you get like 30 channels.

Thanks for posting this. I've been searching for a way to get the Root games outside of their market. Maybe this is the loophole to do that. The Audience network is nationwide so it doesn't seem to matter where you live to get the stream. Between this and Pluto I think this covers the rest of the games this year.

It does show up on their schedule according to the website I found below. I'm signing up for the free trial and see how this weekend goes.

I'm currently trying out the $15 watch AT&T option. No Roku option. Phone app doesnt offer full screen. Will not work with any of my tablets.

Saturday guide in app for Audience says Big Sky... at 1pm guessing that will be the Griz game

Downside to this is there is no DVR option. DirecTVNow has a cloud DVR option now, I think you get 20 hours.

But again it's only $15.

wooooah 15 bucks!!! thats 3x what people had to pay for espn+ and that threw griz nation into an uproar

Audience Network is on AT&T U-Verse 1114 & 1599 in the San Francisco/NoCal market. Schedule shows the game at noon.

Audience is owned by AT&T. No idea why Audience picks up ROOT games but Audience is the only streaming option for ROOT period.

I think AT&T owns ROOT.

I’m not an AT&T customer, so I can’t figure out how to creat an account to use the app on my Apple TV

Thanks for this link.
It worked! For me I only have internet service. I don't have a TV provider.
The quality of stream and audio was excellent.
Hopefully, it works for other Audience showings of Griz games.
I'll keep subscribing until it fails to work until the end of FB season.
