Gale Sayers passes at 77

He inspired my only tattoo. On my shoulder is a scroll that says “I am Third” from the title of his autobiography. It means God is first, family is second, and I am third.

I was a Vikings fan then as well. I thought and still do he could have been the best ever if not for the knee injuries. He was the definition of the saw poetry in motion. In his case not a cliche.

Yes, he could pass. He signed a ball and threw a nice tight spiral to my wife, which she caught. It was an excellent pass.
