What? (Gasp!) Y-y-y-ya mean(Gulp!)...he's.........HUMAN?!!!Guy still had a lot of faults, some of which were his inability to do what BK is doing right now in terms of PR and recruiting. Never said he was a bad coach, but he was far from perfect.

Hey buddy, you are asking for trouble. Can't wait to see more of your dumb posts. Show us your weak stuff.
Great article!
This part was interesting to me:
"I’d heard from multiple people that a lot of our players were heavily courted - but obviously none took off for other opportunities. The BK effect! The players love this guy and want to play for him. To me this was / is a pretty firm affirmation from his players, especially considering the opportunities that many were given to move on."
More than one person on here said that the reason players didn't leave is because it was too late in the cycle. What you wrote proves otherwise. I'm more thankful than ever for BK and the fact that everybody stuck around.
This is also GREAT news:
"Grizzly football has really put their a nutrition program on a pedestal, has ramped up investment into their current nutritionist, and has engaged with a regional supplement company for NCAA-approved supplements to help the team with training and development. They’re now engaging with more advanced analytics as well and have broadened their adaptation to more current methods in these fields that were (allegedly) previously rebuffed. BK appears to be planning to run this team far more in the fashion that we see modern day P5 coaches and NFL coaches run their teams."
Is it August yet? I'm ready for FOOTBALL.
You are getting me excited for this season and it's only the beginning of July. What is super crazy about NIL is the amounts of money some of the players the last few years have turned down to stay at Montana, especially this season.
The REAL Montana Bobby is building something special here.
I'm sure you are the candidate we need.Haslam needs to GTFO of here. Need someone with integrity and honesty in a position like this in order to excel
And his buddy marty party who for whatever reason only posts following don't kicks post.I'm sure you are the candidate we need.
BK taking just $17.5k for his first year is how I know he truly loves this team.
Pretty sure that is $175K...but still shows he is invested in the program since he made $212K one year at Texas. His resume as an assistant speaks for itself. I think soon his resume as a head coach will do the same.BK taking just $17.5k for his first year is how I know he truly loves this team.
He shouldn’t have any problem getting to about $285 with the listed incentives and that doesn’t include money from the coaches show, camps, endorsements or other sources.Pretty sure that is $175K...but still shows he is invested in the program since he made $212K one year at Texas. It’s embarrassing that the Griz coach is making $175k base and will likely top out around $300k whereas Brent Vigen is making $295,000 base and is going to make over $600,000 total compensation. Is the Cats coaching position literally twice as desirable as the Griz and deserves double the pay? I have my doubts on that given the Cat Griz rivalry all time record. He shouldn’t have any problem getting to about $285 with the listed incentives and that doesn’t include money from the coaches show, camps, endorsements or other sources.
One coach is certainly more accomplished than the other. As a lead maintenance tech, i'd be pretty pissed if young Joe Schmo with no experience come in making what i make. It’s embarrassing that the Griz coach is making $175k base and will likely top out around $300k whereas Brent Vigen is making $295,000 base and is going to make over $600,000 total compensation. Nothing Vigen has done in Bozeman is groundbreaking. They couldn’t beat NDSU, so they hired a guy from the NDSU tree who implements the NDSU playbook, which in addition to game schemes also includes the head coach showing interest in other jobs….AD assembles the booster/admin and voila a new extension comes together. Rinse and repeat. It’s embarrassing that the Griz coach is making $175k base and will likely top out around $300k whereas Brent Vigen is making $295,000 base and is going to make over $600,000 total compensation. if Coach BK wasn't happy with the contract, he could've refused to sign it and be held to the 1 year deal. He knows if he does well he can increase the base and total compensation. It’s embarrassing that the Griz coach is making $175k base and will likely top out around $300k whereas Brent Vigen is making $295,000 base and is going to make over $600,000 total compensation. The contract is fine from BK perspective he can make more money than he ever has. From UM’s perspective it looks like they are signaling that their head coach position is worth only half MSU. Most people would say the UM is a stronger program than NAU particularly with NAU’s noted financial challenges/lack of support yet NAU’s coach is making $280,000 base.if Coach BK wasn't happy with the contract, he could've refused to sign it and be held to the 1 year deal. Stop trying to be Coach BK's contract lawyer and negotiator. Let him cook.
