Including a loss to unco for homecoming.

Nailed it!I believe the picture is real and of an actress named Yvonne Strahovski (That's what Google AI tells me anyway.) But it's obviously not the same person who is pretending to be the girlfriend of a football player.
I like realistic spring ball subdued Brint, but I love in season cashing receipts panda riding Brint.Somewhere between a losing record and winning it all. Book it
This is nothing against their players but their president Andy Feinstein is the biggest idiot as of recent in the Big Sky when it comes to running a football team. He had 2 opportunities to hire Bob Stitt who had more top 10 wins in one season at Montana than UNC has had in their entire program’s history. The 2 guys he hired instead were Valor Christian High School coach Ed Mccaffrey who had a 6-16 record and BYU special teams coordinator Ed Lamb who has gone 5-30 at UNC.9—

It will be a special year.Fun fact UNC has never won in Missoula.
Oh I'm aware. My friend constantly voices his opinion on how poorly its ran. It does seem like a fun environment though, like they know they are kinda the bottom feeders but they just enjoy playing ball. We ran track together here before he transferred to unc for football and it was so much more depressing for him to be on a good team with an abusive coach (our track team) then on a bad team with coaches that care. This is nothing against their players but their president Andy Feinstein is the biggest idiot as of recent in the Big Sky when it comes to running a football team. It is a real stretch to imply that Stitt would have had big success at UNC.This is nothing against their players but their president Andy Feinstein is the biggest idiot as of recent in the Big Sky when it comes to running a football team. They hired a GA as their safeties coach, a first time GA. There are so many other higher they could've made. Coaches in the state of Colorado that are qualified would like to coach there, but it's almost like the president purposefully keeping the team down lol. At least form what I've heard from my boy. they like their coaches a lot though which makes me happy. It is a real stretch to imply that Stitt would have had big success at UNC.
It’s good that the current staff cares, I couldn’t say that about Mccaffrey. He lived in Castle Pines over an hour away from Greeley and commuted to practice. He brought in one son to be the qb and another son to be the wr coach and OC with no coaching experience. I think they really dropped the ball by not hiring Stitt. He has experience building a program in Colorado and coaching a top program in the Big Sky. It is too late for them to now at this point with how the transfer portal has evolved. Bob Stitt isn’t going to leave Co Mines now unless it is a good FBS OC opportunity which he probably isn’t going to get.Oh I'm aware. My friend constantly voices his opinion on how poorly its ran. No one is having big success by Griz fans standards at UNC. Stitt would have had more success than the 2 coaches they hired. It is a real stretch to imply that Stitt would have had big success at UNC.
You might not be aware of this but Stitt turned down a coaching opportunity with Arizona after he left the OC position at Texas State because his son wanted to return to Colorado to finish high school. This was the same time Ed Mccaffrey was hired at UNC. Let’s compare their resumes at the time. High school coach for 2 seasons vs head coach building a Colorado D2 for 14 years and 3 years as a head coach in the Big Sky with 4 top 10 FCS wins, Big 12 experience as an offensive analyst and the past year FBS OC experience at Texas State. It is a real stretch to imply that Stitt would have had big success at UNC.
Stitt had all his success with inherited players and was clearly running Montana football into the ground and turning the program into a D-II.You might not be aware of this but Stitt turned down a coaching opportunity with Arizona after he left the OC position at Texas State because his son wanted to return to Colorado to finish high school. The 2 coaches before Stitt at Mines records were 84-157-6 which was good enough for this coach to have the stadium named after him and 11-41 who was the coach prior to Stitt’s arrival. Stitt’s record 110-62. He has taken over a similarly moribund program in Colorado and turned them around to being in the playoff hunt every season. He would have had similar success at UNC. Not winning championships or even the conference but they would have won more games and been more competitive throughout the season. This is notwithstanding how bad Ed Mccaffrey was even though he has the best win loss record. You didn’t like scoring 54 points on the Cats in Bozeman? You didn’t like beating a future Super Bowl MVP 57-16 either?Stitt had all his success with inherited players and was clearly running Montana football into the ground and turning the program into a D-II.
He would have inherited the same D-II anyone else has had coming in there, and while he may have improved their teams, it would not be all that much more improved over what they have been.
The bottom line is, he didn't go there, so we will truly never know, but he showed me what he was when he was here, a one hit wonder with a win over NDSU as his shining moment.
Adding the stellar coaching records for the Bears since they moved from D-II in 2004
2004-05 Kay Dalton 6-16
2006-10 Scott Downing 9-47
2011-19 Earnest Collins, Ju. 28-72
2020-22 Ed McCaffrey 6-16
2023-25 Ed Lamb 5-30
Stitt would not have been an improvement, this is nothing different Sac State will be at the next level.
As I clearly stated, this was with inherited talent. The 2 coaches before Stitt at Mines records were 84-157-6 which was good enough for this coach to have the stadium named after him and 11-41 who was the coach prior to Stitt’s arrival. What you are failing to understand is that beating MDSU one week and losing to Cal Poly the next week would be considered a major success at UNC. Their program has different goals and aspirations than Montana. Stitt’s non conventional offense is harder to game plan against which leads to big wins when it works but bad losses when it doesn’t.As I clearly stated, this was with inherited talent.
Cooper Kupp is a WR and never played defense and he was far from a super bowl MVP at that time. As for the other game, well, to be brief, bobcats suck.
Again, Stitt ran our program damn near into the ground in two seasons and with the D-II talent he was bringing in, it was a major rebuild to get back to now. Nothing points to him being more than a D-II coach and ALL of his successes at Montana were off of what he got when he arrived. Delaney was brought back to steady this ship after all that BS with investigations into lunch money and laundry and he went 9-5 in his last year. From there, Stitt went 8-5, 6-5 and 7-4. Hauck came back and had his worst year EVER at UM at 6-5, but you want to call Stitt a genius for putting a wrinkle into an end around that came about because his receivers couldn't handle the football, be my guest.
Everybody remembers the NDSU win, but the true foreshadowing of Bob Stitts UM resume came the following week when we lost to Cal Poly at home 20-19.
