Soccer Citowicki leaving for Wazzu?

Yep she did and still does play for Thorns 2.

She is not recruiting kids as she is still considering transferring. If I was Gore I would be doing everything I could to keep her. She is power 4 quality.

Jesuit High School and Thorns Academy are both in contact with Montana. Good to have good programs interested in the Griz.

Jo Frischknecht is the recruit from Jesuit/Thorns academy you all should be excited about. That kid is a baller. She is very similar to Lucie who outside of Dita and either keeper was the best player on the team last year. Jo will need to hit the weights but she is going to be good.

Lane is a late recruit and was picked up because the Griz were gutted and there is an established pipeline. Good player in Oregon but Jo is crazy good.

What I was saying is Lucie most likely does not care or have much interaction with Thorns Academy other than seeing a few girls at Thorns 2 practice that get invited to practice. Thorns 2 does not practice over breaks either. Westside Metros wpsl team does and many of the Thorns join them over the breaks. I talked to Lucie briefly over the Christmas break here in Oregon at one of those practices.

Why are you speaking for Lucie? come on people.

Because I asked her what her plans were. Having a kid that already transferred out I was curious.

Look it is rare for these kids at the large clubs to know any of the younger kids unless they get called up to the semi pro program. Even then they don’t stick around afterwards for chit chat. Lucie lives over an hour from the field as well so I really doubt she sticks around to mentor.

I’m sure surf and strikers in Montana will lean on their alumni a little more. Now that Chris is gone I’m all for the Griz having a good rebuild.

Time to move on, buddy. Enjoy portland state, but stop posting as if you are speaking for other people.

Nice sleuthing. You are right I don’t know what she is thinking.

Just giving the forum my perspective based on what she told me. I agree with u though. I don’t know what her thoughts are on it at this point and I absolutely should not be speaking for her.

Hopefully she stays. She is awesome and a great person.

Jo is the real deal as well. Great player on the field. Really stands out from other players.

Lucy Rokos may have been doing previous recruiting as another player from her Jesuit High School in Portland committed to the Griz earlier and signed last November.

Check out this roster for the Girls High School All-American Game played last December. Scroll down to the West team for two players committed to Montana - one from Oregon and one from Nevada - named along with commits to some Power 5 schools. Good recruiting by Chris - and they apparently stayed with plans to compete in Missoula.

Note of interest: Gonzaga is leaving the West Coast Conference, and Boise State is leaving the Mountain West Conference. Both will become members of the newly realigned Pac-12 Conference on July 1, 2026.

I heard the other day they are all loving practice and the way coach Gore interacts with them. So I don’t think anyone is going any where by the sounds of it.
Good to hear. In two weeks three 2026 signed one from Portland Thorns and one from Crossfire. Do we know who the third player is.

Kaylie Rai, left-footed GK from London, Ontario. Says class of 2027, not 2026.

she's one of the 2027's who is verbally committed. The 2026 class is now at 8 players. Need some experienced players from the portal (goal scorers and a goalie, only having 1 goalie can be trouble.

Like i said Jo is a baller. Seen her play multiple times and always came away impressed.
Hate to be bearer of bad news, but I have heard on good authority that both Jo and Cate Gusick (Nevada state POY, and 2026 UM commit) are both visiting Pullman this weekend.

If true we need to realize Chris isn’t a good person and doesn’t want Montana to succeed.
Wasn’t it Chris who recruited Cate? It isn’t at all unusual for recruits to consider staying with the coach that recruited them rather than the place if the coach was a big aspect of why they said yes. Sounds like her family wanted to visit Pullman before making the decision like some of her classmates did. That is a very normal aspect when coaches change schools. I agree to abnormal for so many kids to be willing to follow, but that’s a testament to families and players still wanting to play for Chris.

Exactly. And with time to study the portal as it is two months away.
Transfer window is 15 days running May 1-15.
Plus there are still over 400 D1 players and over 400 D2 players in the portal. It's averaging that 400 players enter the spring portal.

What did everyone expect, its a business, if he doesn't win in 3-4 years he is most likely fired. If you don't think he is negatively recruiting Montana you have blinders on. He also has a roster problem and can see some players entering the portal in May, he has 11 forwards this year and 10 in 2027.
