Now that Bobby is leaving, a new transfer window opens. Who do you think goes?

I’m hoping this was strategic as most schools have finalized rosters heading into spring ball. It would be a disaster for the kids entering. Especially since there are thousands of D1 hopefuls in the portal currently.

I doubt we lose any notable players, unless the new coach has some talent he plans on bringing in.

I'm sure the team was fully aware of this. Bobby leaving sends shockwaves through the program. No way he could keep that a secret. Looking at X, he wasn't on the recruiting trail, lending me to believe that he was never a part of the plan, and they knew Bobby Kennedy was the plan all along. Probably why the transfer portal was so popular for the griz. Gap year.

I hope Bobby can recruit Montana boys. Traditions are huge, and they play a huge role in the program.

I think hiring from within and keeping the staff mostly in tact was a strategic move to keep guys like Ah Yat, Gillman, Davis, etc. I think players commit more to the position coaches than the head coach. Since it appears most assistants are staying on board, I don't anticipate you guys will lose very many players (if any at all).

That said, if there's an FBS team out there desperate for a QB/RB/WR, it certainly gives them an opportunity to open their checkbooks and scratch out some big offers.

Traditions? You mean the ones that have resulted in no national championships in 24 years, and only two conference championships in the last 14 years. It might just be me, but other than the #37 tradition, it seems like it's time for new traditions.

Hopefully Coach Kennedy starts new traditions that result in championships.
