Seems more and more like this was clearly a transition plan started last fall.

I know that Bobby H said on more than one occasion that Bobby Kennedy was actually staying at his house last year. Could that have been because he didn't want to buy a home and therefore have to qualify for a mortgage on his wide receivers coach pay when he knew he would be getting a big bump in pay with a promotion before too long? Pure speculation on my part but it makes sense.

This. I wondered why or how we were getting someone of his caliber to simply be a wide receivers coach, but It's looking likely that he was told he would be next in line for the HC job.

This reminds me of when Pflu was brought back to Missoula in 2008 or 09 apparently with the realization by Jim O'Day that Bobby was itching to move up to the FBS and, unless I'm " misremembeting," Pflu was also our WR coach and in hindsight, our HC in waiting. Apparently Coach K was the new Pflu.

Surprised Pease wouldn't get it if they were going to keep it internal. Kennedy is clearly a good WR coach, but he's never been more than a WR coach. It's a big step up.

If there is one coach who despised this willy-nilly transfer portal, it was Coach Hauck. I am assuming that it had a big impact on this decision. He absolutely despised it.

Well, as was the favorite phrase from Hauck. Next man up mentality. I think this overhaul actually helps with Montana recruiting. Biggest question is was it pressure from above or the changing landscape.

I here you 5280 but I think Coach K's resume and charm combined with difficulty in finding a new home very quickly for any player while simultaneously losing your scholarship eith ud means we will lise 0 to few of our kids plus I'm sure Cosch K had some Plan B recruits still in the portal just in case.

And yes, I hope this isn't wishful thinking : ) !!

Well, we do have a great GRIZ as men's BB named Travis DeCuire : ) !!!

And I do hope AC the second African-American hired as our football HC after Coach K wins 2-3 NC's and retires will be another great GRIZ, one Justin Green : ) !!!
