Hopefully he offers it to him but who knows what goes through Kent’s head.

Last night at the SAAC meeting Kent told the athletes they didn’t offer the job to the other candidates because “they weren’t the right fit”.

Wow. Lying directly to the athletes. That seems like a great way to reduce the amount of commitment the athletes have to the school. That portal in May is going to be enticing to some. These girls aren't dumb.
 
This isn’t the first time he’s blown off the SAAC athletes, there was a letter sent to him and Seth last year that laid out the issues soccer, etc were facing (like facilities, etc).

People seem to like him, he would be a good fit with his values. Hope he does but I’m not sure if he’ll take it or not because of all the issues listed before. $100k (if they paid him the full) just won’t go far enough as a single income for a family of 4 in Missoula. Fingers crossed one of the big donors contribute enough to bump up his pay or creates a nil deal for him to incentivize taking the position.

I suspect he probably has a wife and she would also have an income of her own. $100k all things considered is pretty good money!

Hope it works out. Can you share his values? Is J being allowed to stay. To your point 100k before taxes doesn’t go far in Missoula with a family. Wonder why no boosters stepped in when Weber was offered the job.

Was a time table given to accept or deny. Going into Feb almost 2 months with no coach. Worse case if declines what’s/whos next

He seems to care about his athletes and their experience.

Whoever the new HC will be has the final say on if J gets to stay.

Idk, wish we had boosters help close the gap so we could get this search over with and get back to business

No timeline has been given and it seems like the school is prepared for worst case scenario and just hand J the HC position.

Whatever happens they need to get someone on board asap because everyday that passes we’re losing potential good asst coaches to other schools. Go check out NCAA Marketplace, or HigherEdJobs and you’ll see schools all over the country hiring soccer asst coaches.
