Just as a point of information: Nick Saban, arguably the best coach of the modern era (and sure HOF), used the 3-3-5 as his base defense ... with variations for specific opponents. He has said, specifically, that it was the most effective starting point against the many spread offenses out there. Of course, he benefited from having elite athletes all over the place. JSYK

Kirby Smart at Georgia uses the 3-3-5 as well but they don’t have the same personnel as Montana nor do they ever face Vigen’s MSU offense.

Maybe. Maybe not. Some people like hunting. Some people bowl. Some even take weird pics with gris players in the wilderness (mthoopsfan). Some of us enjoy stirring up shit on message boards. I don’t judge others hobbies.

I am very self-aware. I know that I thoroughly enjoy shit talking here. It’s fun. I like it. I ate so many shit sandwiches from gris fans growing up that it’s nice to be able to give it back.

I respect a lot of gris fans. Hell, my own brother went there and cheers for them. I dislike weird creepy people that think they’re better than everyone.
