Talkin Schmidt - Post season edition

ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT TRANSPARENCY!

People are much more likely to buy in if you take every question, acknowledge deficiencies, explain the plan, share the vision. Don’t expect NIL to grow until then.
Zero chance of this happening. If he remains the coach, expect ongoing arrogant, evasive and borderline abusive treatment of the journalist community.

Schmidt and Colter are preaching the truth. As Griz, we can either rest on our laurels or embrace the reality and DEMAND the necessary changes are made. Somebody somewhere in the UM administration/athletics office better be having serious hard and difficult conversations and put the wood on the table just like Bobby would've done in 2004-2009 - either make the necessary changes and outwork everybody or move on.

FWIW, if Matt Campbell uses the 3-3-5 at Penn State, they will get demolished by the likes of Iowa, Illinois, Ohio State, Michigan, Indiana, and Minnesota.

Your talk about playing pickup basketball with DL and TE dudes reminded me of the summers I played pickup basketball with Matt Birk and other Minnesota Vikings offensive lineman. Matt Birk, a former Harvard standout and Pro Bowl center for the Minnesota Vikings and Baltimore Ravens, would be the point guard and the dude would ball out. NFL athletes are freak athletes.

You could tell Bobby was talked to about his treatment of Frank and the other sports journalists who cover the Griz. I don't know how much changed behind the scenes but in front of the cameras it seemed like Bobby had changed his tune.

We’ll see if his tune remains changed next season or regresses back to how it was in the Idaho State postgame presser earlier this season.

You could tell Frank got the message and reduced his dumb questions.

I don't think your wrong. Frank definitely asks better questions now. But on the flip side he doesn’t seem as nervous when he asks questions. Maybe they had a private meeting and talked things out.

Maybe you know, I've noticed its mostly the reporters from each town that ask that coach questions. Like Frank doesn't ask Vigen questions and Victor doesnt ask BH questions. Is that the way its done normally? Sure Colter asks everyone questions but his deal is all of the Big Sky.

That is why people claim Colter is a Cat fan. It is quite out of the ordinary at-least with these programs for someone to cover the other team from the town they grew up in and graduated from.

Spot on. As he says, the stats don't lie! The average loss to the Cats in Bozeman over the last four games is 30 points. We have only won four of the last thirteen against NDSU, SDSU, and MSU. We have given up 3,200 rushing yards in those nine games for an average of nearly 6 yards per carry, while we have rushed for less than 3 yards per carry.

4-9 in the last 13. 2 over cats, 1 ndsu, 1 sdsu.

Wah, Wah. Why don’t the Griz beat the beat in the country every year?

2-1 against those teams in playoffs the last couple years.

Why can’t Cats beat the Dakota teams? Shouldn’t they fire their coach or shake things up?
