I don't know about this weekend. In the past Bobby would bus the team to a hotel in Livingston. Friday was spent with team meeting, position meeting and walk through / stadium time.

It is not day of.
Could you imagine the team driving a 3-hour drive from Missoula to Bozeman the morning of for a 2:00 Game, needing to arrive to Bozeman by 8 am, which would mean leaving Missoula by 5 AM, which would mean showing up to campus by 4 am, which would mean waking up by 3 am, which would mean needing to be in bed asleep by 8 PM the night before for a full night's rest? You think the team would be well-rested in this scenario and ready to go?
Probably easier to just drive over the day before, stay in Livingston, and drive 30 minutes in the morning on Gameday to arrive to Bozeman.

I wouldn’t be surprised they leave right after the game.
Why would you have to arrive by 8:00AM?

Or they could just stay in Bozeman, get a good nights rest, have a decent breakfast and not have to deal with a potentially snowy Bozeman pass. I don’t know, call me crazy but going all the way to Livingston seems counterintuitive and petty. I hope Hauck has outgrown that stage of his coaching career.
Hotel prices in Bozeman are too expensive = didn't you see the ESPN feature ?

Same as it was for the Cats when they stayed in Missoula. I find it humorous to think that some fans believe there are Cat fans or Griz fans who drive around the hotel making noise all night. Ridiculous.
I don't think Bobby's current routine includes walk through day prior. Hasn't done that in a few years.
The NCAA coordinates all travel and accommodations in the playoffs. There's no way they would allow the Griz to not stay in Bozeman. The tradition will be broken this year.

I would imagine UM could coordinate what their preferences are....
If UM stays in Livingston and it saves the NCAA some $$, I can't imagine the NCAA would say no to that.
Two years ago when we played in Bozeman they stayed in Big Sky because the place they used to stay in Livingston closed. They are not going to stay in Butte as some have suggested, that is too far to drive. NCAA may require them to stay in Bozeangeles but that would not be Bobby's choice for sure. Belgrade may be a possibility

I'm not sure that any Belgrade hotels are big enough. It's required they stay at a conference center type of hotel where the team can gather in a ballroom for catered meals and break out into meeting rooms for team meetings/film sessions.
Where do the Cats stay when they play in Missoula?
