Good:

- this Griz team has dominated the MVFC teams this season (4-0) and now has taken down both South Dakota teams
- Wa Griz was loud and rocking from start to finish! Almost 23k there and it was electric! Playofff crowds are the best
- Michael Frigging Wortham is ELITE. Had 3 TDs, two receiving, one rushing and made a perfect pass to Gillman on a double pass play. Led the Griz in receiving and rushing and broke Marianis all purpose yards mark. Just incredible!
- Ah Yat was again a smooth operator. 21/30 for 305 and 3 more TDs. 7 TDs and 0 INTs in las two playoff games
- the Griz defense as a whole has really showed up the last two weeks. Getting Loud back allows them to stack the box more and shut down the run. Solo playing more Mike has been effective
- Drew Deck has been awesome! The punt return is a record for FCS playoffs (93 yards) and was a thing of beauty and he added another receiving TD
- Solo playing like a man possessed. Peck wreaking havoc. Schwartz making a name for himself. Otlewski with 10 tackles. Wing with another INT. Lawler and Loud and Rausch with break ups and good coverage on the back end. It’s all coming together
- putting back to back 50 burgers on MVFC teams who only gave up 17 ppg (sdsu) and 24 ppg (USD) coming in. This offense seems to be unstoppable right now.

Bad:

- did not like the call where that receiver forward progress was down, but they let him get up and run it into the end zone and then upheld it on replay. Even the ESPN rules analyst was saying he was down. His forward progress was 100% stopped.

Ugly:

- honestly don’t have an ugly for this week. Was a beautiful day for football in Missoula and the Griz rocked it

Cat Griz 2.0 and this team is clicking on all cylinders and has improved form the last meeting and gotten a few guys back. Should be an epic battle in Bozeman. FTC 24-7!

Feel free to add….

Good
-Seeing Tolbert healthy enough to work back into the game last week.
-The confidence and swagger this team has found, and their ability to respond to adversity.
-Playing the game that was in front of them to get to the rematch these guys wanted.

Ugly
-Having to play this semifinal, game of all games in a tin litter box full of wannabe Montanans instead of a picturesque shrine to the college football gods and mountains of Western Montana.

Elite: The defense to start the game held South Dakota to 18 total yards of offense (13 rushing, 5 passing) in the 1st Quarter against one of the best backs and Olines in all of the FCS.

Great: The double pass play on 3rd and 20 from KAY to Wortham to Gilman to pick up the first down.
The lack of scat fans on the Griz message board yesterday after the Griz went up 17-0 and kept the foot on the gas. The Griz shut those idiots (scadiots) up!

Good: Total team effort all game.

Bad: Chippiness by the Coyotes at the end of the game.

Ugly: #50 on South Dakota trying to hurt Gillman towards the end of the game. (Not part of the ugly but more context: Matan noticed it and then went over to get him off of Gillman and, in typical "catch the 2nd guy" fashion, got a personal foul.)

What did we miss
South Dakota kicker was practicing south endzone field goal kicks when the Griz came out at half to do their warmups and Griz did their thing and warmed up and the kicker kept kicking field goals while they were warming up over there.

Hauck talked to the refs about it and they did nothing so hauck went and kicked the kickers ball back the other way before the could kick it again

Atleast this is how ace and sundberg explained it on the radio after the game

Bad: Missing the entire ABC viewing for almost a full quarter while other FB teams were battling in a 4 OT game. I had to rewatch the missing action late this AM.

It was not on the ABC telecast from the Billings affiliate until the start of 2Q. FYI, I spend a lot of money for TV, DirecTV, streaming, etc.
We were watching the Celebration Bowl end, figuring it would slide right into the Griz broadcast. Then it began to look like the game would go into OT. We wondered if they'd delay the start of the game in Missoula. They didn't, of course (good thing since the bowl went into 4OT), but said it was showing on ESPNews. Luckily, our DirecTV sports package includes that channel. My wife immediately set the system to record that feed ... so we got to watch our own highlight reel when the bowl ended.
