They have fallen so far since Jay Hill was there, this is not surprising at all.
Mickey Mental wasn't. He came out of DII Notre Dame. I don't know anything about Myers.

Sad to see--I keep wondering when Eastern is going to can Coach Best since I don't think he's had a winning team this decade @ Eastern or at least the last 3-4 years. I have a friend here in Billings that played for Eastern as a WR when Coach Best was Eastern's O line coach, and he loves him--said he was a great O line coach and the entire team loved him. But as a head coach, his W-L record is pretty poor

They should've never hired him in the first place. He had only had one of year of D1 experience before he got the job. He's an east coast guy, and he had zero connections to Weber or the state of Utah. It was so incredibly head scratching, I could not believe they hired him. He completely destroyed everything Jay Hill built at Weber.

Best isn't going anywhere. He was just extended and they don't have the $$$ to buy him out.

The EWU QB is below average and just happened to play against an even worse defense.
Would not hate it if we convinced their QB Tisdell to transfer here.

Myers was the Oline coach for Jay Hill. Not sure where he was before that.

I’d be surprised if they didn’t go back to the well and hire Grant Duff back from Idaho state. He was with Jay Hill at Weber and would make sense
He chose EWU over offers from Colorado State, Florida Atlantic and Nevada. He is rated as a 3-star, 84.4 composite grade, the 24th overall player from Washington and 91st QB in the nation. What evidence do you have that he is below average especially after watching him play and bounce back and lead his team after getting hit a bunch.

I don’t know that his body of work outside of his last game warrants offering him a scholarship.
Well, his stats in his last game were pretty horrible again MSU, but he's a true Freshman playing against the best defense in the conference without his top 2 RBs.
I think he he has a strong arm, throws a great ball and could grow into a really good QB in time.
