I have been casually checking in on these guys throughout the season and they would likely beat the lower half of the BSC. CWU is currently ranked #7 in Div 2 and is running roughshod over the competition, beating ranked teams by multiple scores and throttling New Mexico Western (whoever that is) 91-35 after putting up THIRTY FIVE first quarter points.

If they updated their facilities I think they would fare well in the Big Sky. FWIW look at #1 Ferris State’s schedule and the dominating season they’re having…they would likely be #4 in the Big Sky.

We should really just trade them out for Portland State in a conference swap. The conference would be better for it.

Have you been to a game in Greeley? Portland state? Whatever they’ve got at central Washington it can’t be worse than Greeley or Portland state 😆

Currently CWUs stadium only seats 4k, at least UNC has them beat by doubling out their capacity. That being said, and this is nothing against them, the fact were in a Conference with teams that have such poor facilities to begin with is kind of sad.

Absolutely. It was shocking when I went to a game in Greeley. Just terrible. The community there isn’t bad. It’s a part of a large metro area, but it doesn’t come close to feeling like you’re at a division 1 football game there. Feels like a high school game

I know the feeling, having lived in Pocatello for many years. Holt is home to many-a Intra-City high school football games(they have three high schools), as well as high school playoff games. Highland HS is a football power in Idaho. The difference between ISU and High School football at the time was....well,............... minimal.

This poll has CW at no. 6, where they have been for a couple weeks. https://www.ncaa.com/news/football/...ll-power-10-rankings-just-two-weeks-remaining

Its really not that hard to grasp, on any given weekend Within a hour of Greeley you have the Colorado State Rams, Colorado Buffalos, the Denver Broncos, plus many other non-related sporting activities to pick before a unc football game...just the way it is.unc is so far down the list of options available to many is just not funny.

In Montana for college football fans the griz, or the bobcats are the biggest show in state...not really fair to the griz, or bobcats to the bears.
