Playoff Committee Poll

I believe the second FCS Playoff poll is to be released today. I have not seen it yet, but I think it supposed to be announced on ESPN sometime today during College Football Live.

Wrong. NDSU has a clear path to the natty. The Griz, cats, and SDSU are all on the same side.

I think you have that backwards a bit. If it were to shake out this way, #1 (NDSU) would be on one side, and theoretically face the winner of the #4/5 game in the semis (Lehigh & Tarleton). #'s 2, 3, and 6 (MSU, Montana, & SDSU) would all be on the other side.

In almost all sports, FCS Playoffs included, it is set up for the semi-finals to be between the 1 seed and the winner of the 4/5 seed. That is part of the advantage of getting the #1, is that if it all goes chalk you won't have to play the 2 or 3 seed until the finals. Otherwise, it would give an advantage to the #2 seed in them getting to play a lower seed in the semis.
