Good:

- the offense is operating at a clip we haven’t seen for some years. Over 500 yards again and 42 points
- Ah Yat seems to very much be the real deal. 23-40 for 350 and 1 TD. Receivers had a few drops too
- Wortham has to be the most dynamic player in all of FCS. Put the team on his back. Almost 250 all purpose yards, threw a TD, ran in 2 more, and had 124 yards receiving. One of the most impressive all around games I’ve seen from a Griz
- Mason showed up on defense a lot. Had some big plays and pressures
- Wilkinson had some big pass break ups
- Rausch led the team in tackles
- defense stepping up in final 3 or 4 drives to cement the win
- Gillman was more quiet than usual but still scored 2 TDs and had a couple big runs and catches when needed most
- Brooks Davis had a couple big catches and continues to make the offense more dangerous. Had 6 grabs for 104,
- awesome to see true freshman Gentry with a pick…we needed it
- Morrison was awesome in the punt and kick game again. Pinned ISU a few times.

Bad:

- the first half defense was getting gashed. Granted we missed Loud and Wing a ton, it seemed ISU could do whatever it wanted
- Ford had a tough day but I’ll give him credit he had a big time pass break up at the end when we needed it most

Ugly:

- allowing quick slant after quick slant after quick slant. Gotta clean that up.

At the end of the day, a win is a win! 5-0 is a great place to be. Feel free to add!

It seemed like whatever side we blitzed from, ISU ran a slant into the void. Over & Over……

Great: Michael Wortham's and Brooks Davis' play on offense and special teams.

Good: The Griz found a way to win on the road after having their backs against the wall. Defense made a couple of key stops at the end of the game to seal the win. Certain DLine and LB combinations had better success than others.

Bad: Defensive pursuit angles and over pursuit. This has been two weeks in a row that this has led to TDs and additional yards after the catch. Defensive coverage of taller WRs. Secondary need to learn how to time it to go up as the WR is coming down and take away the ball as the WR is coming down with the catch. Offensive line has to improve blocking against the defensive line slants. Are the Griz telegraphing their run plays by formation, down and distance, or alignments/player set ups?

Ugly: Referee missing the obvious holding of both Mason and Schwartz on the 2nd to last drive by ISU. One happened in full view of the referee and prevented Mason from sacking Cooke. It was an obvious holding that should have been called because it changed the outcome of the play. Bengals defense. Gave up 517 yards of offense. Griz fans who give up on this team before the game is over. When will they learn the game is four 15 minute quarters?

Good: 2 point conversion early on got us up an extra point. It didn't seem like much to me at the time but it was crucial down the stretch. If we had been up 41-38, ISU could have attempted a FG and we very likely could have gone into OT. The offense was rolling and playing pretty well other than the bad noted below.

Bad: Running Eli up the middle, over and over. We should have gotten him in space somehow, someway. He is too dynamic of a player to not give him those opportunities.

Ugly: Pass D. I can't say much more than has been said but it was pretty ugly.

All in all, it was a great game to go and watch. The rain before hand really put a damper on things, literally and figuratively. Would have been fun to hang out with some people but it was just to wet to enjoy it. I enjoyed the game and the crowd was very pleasant where I was, both Griz and Bangel fans alike :)

Thanks Hooked! Great analysis.
Good: Our offense with Ah Yat at the helm.
Wing back in the 2nd half, along with adjustment of backing the linebackers off to neutralize the quick passes.
Gillman catching passes when the box is loaded.
Griz just playing hard.
Young CBs making some important plays toward the end.
#6 on the Griz (he's pretty good)
Back home next week.
Bad: My heart rate and anxiety during the game.
The short sidelines on that skating rink in Pocatello. Dangerous for the players.
Ugly: Another ugly win. I'll take that over a pretty loss any day of the week. 5-0 is still 5-0, no matter how you get it done.
Posters who are stupid and negative after victories.

UGLY: Did anyone notice that dirty POS bungle defender trying to twist Davis’s ankle on the ground when the play was long over? Afterwards, Davis even looked gimpy for a moment on the sideline.
The league needs to suspend that MF’er. Any bungle fan should be ashamed and embarrassed.
Maybe someone can find it and clip it.

Good: Offense looked comfortable with multiple sets ...
Bad: No pressure on the opposing QB...
Ugly: Lots of big plays by the opponent with receivers that seemed wide open ...
I think your Bad and Ugly correlate with each other.

We Did. That was DIRTY and should be addressed by the league.

Gorgeous: the play calling. The bungles took away the primary game plan, and The Griz had to get creative.

Double pass.
Sideways directional snap behind a swinging gate.
Reverse Grizzly Special.

Three amazing gadgets in addition to some wonderful creativity we have been seeing all year, such as wildcat, double moves, and even the pick play was sweet altho flagged.
