The offseason is over and we kick off the 2025 this weekend with three Big Sky programs starting their season! As a result, it's time for another year of the eGriz Big Sky pick'em Challenge!
I have been running this challenge here for roughly 6 years now and each year there has been great participation. Over these last few years, I have been working on finding better ways to automate the amount of work I have to do each week. In previous seasons, I have had to spend multiple hours each week going through spreadsheets and manually updating scores. Over the last few years, we've seen anywhere from 75-100 participants, to which required me to spend a lot of time going through picks, ensuring the total points were calculated correctly, etc. Some of you probably noticed the last few years that by the time the end of the season rolled around, I was late getting standings updated, late getting the current week's picks posted, etc... this was all from burnout I had experienced with trying to keep up with everything.
This year, I believe I have found a way to automate things to where I will be relatively hands-off and I should be able to avoid the burnout. I'm using this year as a way to test the process and keep improving it, but I'm hoping things will go smoothly this season. I'll be using the first couple of weeks to tweak the automation if there are any errors that pop up.

3. For each correct pick, you earn 1 point
4. You may resubmit picks if you change your mind, but your most-recent submission will be what is used for your official pick for the week.
