Wortham might take some snaps behind center, but if he is taking half, then that is a bad sign.Jensen took the majority of first team reps in the Spring while Ah Yat was out with a minor injury. Because of that, I have to think Jensen is the slight leader in the clubhouse. Not the most mobile guy but I was impressed by his arm in the spring game.
I like many others would love for Ah Yat to take the job and flourish but I’m just not sold yet. I hope he does but we need to see some major growth from him this year. We’ll see what he can do in Fall camp.
I also won’t be surprised if Wortham is taking half the snaps at QB by the time we’re halfway through the season. He’s definitely gonna be our plus one run game guy. Dudes a huge weapon.
He might be the right guy for the job at the present. I don't see it as a bad sign at all. Actually quite positive.. AY YAT may not be ready for full time yet.Wortham might take some snaps behind center, but if he is taking half, then that is a bad sign.
Agreed, use as many weapons as possible. Keep the D guessing. Cliff showed us what is possible with +1 run game.He might be the right guy for the job at the present. I don't see it as a bad sign at all. Actually quite positive.. AY YAT may not be ready for full time yet.

I see Wortham playing a VERY similar role to Bergen, including the trick plays with him tossing the TD.If they overlook Wortham as a possibility latter in the season should he be needed and still be a go physically it would be a mistake. I do believe he was not brought in for that position but back in the coaches minds they must be considering it as an option. He would have to be brought up to speed on some of the offense and for that he will need time to learn.
was wondering the same. Sliter also...What about Flowers? Any chance there, either in rotation or qb2?
I agree that is his intended use.I see Wortham playing a VERY similar role to Bergen, including the trick plays with him tossing the TD.
Agree, but think Jensen as the leader in clubhouse is bit of an exaggeration.I think this is the best assessment
Somewhat like you I am high on Flowers. I, truly, don't think it is his time yet. Things could change if a QB is injured. IMO, Flowers is a potential 2 year starter.Still think Flowers is best option at QB. We have seen Ah Yat not impressed. Jensen has not played meaningful snaps in a few years. Flowers could be a three year starter, or we could lose him to portal by never using him.
Just the opinion of a low IQ fan!!
Brady Jay will also be coming in next year to make a run. I am sure we probably still bring in a transfer to compete, but between Ah Yat, Flowers, and Brady Jay we will have some young guys in the pipeline for years to come.Somewhat like you I am high on Flowers. It's Ironic that this is the conversation about "time with teammates" being extremely important when we were having the same exact conversation when Sneed came into the picture in 2018 with the other Jensen QB haha. It's in the reverse this time.Agree, but think Jensen as the leader in clubhouse is bit of an exaggeration.
KAY'S time with the program matters with his teammates...
I loved Sneed. Tough tough kid. It's Ironic that this is the conversation about "time with teammates" being extremely important when we were having the same exact conversation when Sneed came into the picture in 2018 with the other Jensen QB haha. It's in the reverse this time.
I remember this board throwing a fit when Dalton Sneed showed up late to the program in 2018. The feeling by many was no way would Dalton Sneed beat Gresch Jensen for starting QB. Jensen decided to transfer out in April of 2018 and there was panic because Dalton didn't have "time" with his new teammates.
Just about everyone loved Dalton the two years we had him haha.
True...but, zero chance Jensen = Sneed. It's Ironic that this is the conversation about "time with teammates" being extremely important when we were having the same exact conversation when Sneed came into the picture in 2018 with the other Jensen QB haha. It's in the reverse this time.
