Just my opinion, of course, but I thought Te' Jon was the Griz' mvp in their win vs UNC. Which, I hope, bodes well for him, Joe Pridgen and the Griz over the final games of Big Sky play. Both are versatile & both have faced double-team defenses. But vs. the Bears, Sawyer's exceptional 'big-man' ball handling skills opened the key for both, which the Bears simply could not stop. Of Te' Jon's 15 points, he smoothly broke on at least three buckets where he drove an open paint lane vs his defender, who'd jumped him trying to stop him from shooting a trey. That, in turn, opened the baseline (in the second half) for Joe.
I personally feel most Big Sky post defenders can"t stop Te'Jon's drives...SO... It'll be interesting to see how he responds vs. Northern Arizona, which held him to 8 pts in a sub-par game in Missoula. I'd personally love to see some hi-post iso plays through an open paint-lane called just for Te'Jon. If he gets a double-team hi-post trap,... well, Te'Jon is also a good passer. Maybe Joe will be a prime target.
In short, I haven't been this excited about Montana's front-court versatility in several years. Go Griz.
