Caleb Moran Commits - LB from Army

And along with all of his athletic accolades and we definitely need help @ LB, he is a great student or he wouldn't have been recruited by the service academies and our strong academics appealed to Mr.Moran !!!

My knowledge on our new LB transfer is strictly limited to that film Hooked posted, but if that is representative of Caleb Moran's athletic ability, I think he will not only be a stud on ST starting Game # 1, I think he will challenge our older more senior LB's right away for playing time, if not as a # 1 as a 2 challenging our starters !!!

I wonder if Brendan Murphy would be a better LB fit than as he is listed as a DE? At 6'2" 228 lbs., a two-time All Conference as an OLB & ILB I'd kinda take that into consideration. But, that's me. IMHO

agree especially if that is even near his weight now.

Knowing a little about army prep school strength and conditioning program this guy will be physically more than ready to step into playing right away. A one point army had 11 guys playing offense at the same time that averaged over 500 pound squats and that includes backs and receivers. Many of those started out at the prep school where they get a full year of an incredible coach/program before even getting to Westpoint where the S/C is top notch. They build machines for trench warfare in that program. Remember RB Jake Redina from Kalispell that was physically a man amongst boys in high school...well he added 20 pounds of muscle his one year at prep ended up the year squatting over 600 and benching over 400. Now plays fullback at 260. There was a reason Army won the award this year for best offensive line unit they are all strong. physical and have a mean streak.

And they are smart and disciplined

He probably transferred so he wouldn't have to be involved in the amphibious landing and inevitable defeat to the Walrus Legions in the Battle of Nuuk
Good lord. Can you even imagine the level of shrinkage with that kind of landing? They'd all be innies.

Nuuk is beautiful though, with amazingly fantastic people

I’ve never been, but every time the flight path took me over it, I saw hard-working and good kids. Hard-nosed, if you will. The fact we’re not recruiting more out of there is an indictment of Hauck’s staff.

Army is good, but Navy whipped them like the proverbial red-headed stepson because of the hard-nosed midshipmen that will not be commissioned Navy ensigns when they are commissioned in Annapolis but second lieutenants in the pound-for-pound, man-for-man, woman-for-woman finest fighting force the world has ever known, where everyday is a holiday, every meal is a Thanksgiving feast, and it's never too hot, never too cold, The United States Marine Corps ( Uncle Sam's Misguided Children ) !!!

From watching Caleb Moran's film that Hooked and Uncle Rico posted, he looks like a tackling machine with a nonstop motor that lives and loves to inflict pain on the opponent, and he will help replace Riley Wilson, hopefully sooner rather than later !!!

As an old Marine Corps DI used to tell us in NCO School on Parris Island, South Carolina, " If you're going to be a bear 🐻, Be a grizzly !!!

I’m not impressed. We need more blue-collar kids from Butte and Libby. How about Drummond?? Why can’t we find the next Chase Reynolds?? Absolutely unbelievable that Hauck takes a guy from the best football league in GEORGIA of all places when we could go to Havre and find the next Mariani instead.

Couldn’t agree more.

How about a tough Norske, WaGriz from the high prarie of Hi-Line Culbertson, Bridger Skavevold. ( The only strengths of Culbertson are The Empire Builder runs through town and compared to Bainville, Culbertson is the big city !!! ) Bridger ain't no fake Minnesota Viking, he's the real deal from the Hi-Line.

And what about a hard-hitting fellow LB Clay Oven from right here in Billings, a Billings Central Ram ? ( Should his nickname be " Dutch" or " Microwave ? ")

I do think our recruiting staff, WaGriz, continues to scour Montana for recruits because you don't accidentally find a recruit in Class C Culbertson or nearby Savage, DL Sloan McPherson, unless you are really searching for the next Chase Reynolds from Drummond--Savage and Culbertson are not fun towns to visit, especially in the dead of winter !!!)

Go GRIZ !!!

I'm pretty sure there are lots of players on the Navy team that will be commissioned as Ensigns. Slow your roll there, Marine.
