I know I am not the only one....

Hoops if you think the Griz will win next week just pick an amount you feel comfortable losing and we can make an even bet. I can hardly wait to see how you try to get out of this.

Based on what evidence do you think the Griz won't compete against SDSU.
Nobody bother responding to this post. It will play out something like this:

1) Reasonable reason to be concerned about Griz performance to date, especially against specific scenarios or teams

2) Hoops points out an anomalous event that is atypical of this Griz football team overall, and finally,

3) Hoops will either demand you apologize for his lone exception to the rule, or will insult you with a rhetorical question calling you stupid, ignorant, or some other word he finds in a lawyer’s thesaurus.

I’m a Cat fan, admittedly, but I rarely stoke the fire on here, especially with Hoops. You can argue against him all day, and he deserves it, because he is often wrong. Most lawyers don’t engage with non-lawyers to look superior. He does. It’s a disgrace to our profession. You’d think a guy would want to take a break from being a non-stop litigious jerk, but when somebody chooses to advocate for an even bigger jerk, Bobby, he can’t help himself.

Good luck next weekend guys. Respect.

If the play calling remains vanilla - zero chance of winning. Turnover margin has to be in favor of the Griz for them to have a prayer. Bergen won’t see a kickoff or punt more than likely. The O and D lines are equal to or superior to the Cats. D will have their hands full. Who is going to play QB and do they play tight or like they are out their playing the last and best game of their life? Yep, Griz definitely have a chance. Just have to be perfect.

Griz offense was not good vs the Cats defense. The SDSU defense is even much better than that. Much better. Griz will lose by a few scores unfortunately
What makes you believe that SDSU's defense is better than the Cats? This notion that the DSU's are so unstoppable is really weird to me.
I think the griz will compete just fine with these guys. Griz skill position athletes are just as good if not better. The linemen are a little overmatched on both sides of the ball but not to a huge extent. The problem the griz have is offensive scheme and play calling. On defense to run the 3-3-5 we should have a bit more speed in the LB corp.
If Pease would put his gigantic ego aside and listen to Rob Phoenice they would stand a good chance of being very competitive in this game or against any FCS team.

I’ve watched both NDSU and SDSU a ton the last 8-10 years. They are both faster, more physical, and more disciplined than any team in the Big Sky. The Cats have a good defense….SDSU has a great one….in a very physical MFVC that is much better than the Big Sky. That’s why.

This is hilarious, and spot on.

And as you well know, I’m sure Griz fans wanted us to keep Coach Rub Ass forever back in 2015. The Cats would have lost as a top 5 team against the Griz for years, perhaps as long as 16 or better. Cat fans expected better, but unpaid and unwanted legal advocates like Hoops would have held the program back even longer. Is Hoops doing the same thing here?

Being critical of the current state of the program isn’t a referendum on how loyal a Griz fan you are, nor is it the same for the Cats.

Can’t put the ball on the ground 3 times. When you’re up 27-6 you gotta step on their throats and not let them hang around. If both sides play clean and execute, they could do it. I think they’ve found some stuff that works on both sides of the ball, but they gotta execute.
Actually we need SDSU to put the ball on the ground 2-3 times. Maybe an int.
And Junior to take one more to the house.

Add in a trick play or two and we got a chance

These days before we play the game are either going to help, or hurt this team.

who thinks we have good chance next week..do more of the same and clean it up a bit, use the tight ends and trust your run game and I think we have a legit chance of moving on...
I’ll take the jacks , how much you willing to bet? Beer, burgers, both, $100? Lmk.

I totally agree with this and I don't know if Hoops is in this group that I'm about to mention, but I did hear that a ground of rich, influential boosters got together and told the powers that be to bring Bobby back or else..... and now they're stuck with him.

I am mostly right on football. Was right on most everything last season. Didn’t get Griz-Cat outcome right this year, having picked the Griz pre and early season.

What’s litigation? Do some reach on the best corporate lawyer in MT in recent decades. Bobby isn’t a jerk. Great guy. Great Coach.

Are you a crappy lawyer? Based on your dumb and inarticulate post you must be.

One of my jobs is to irritate and trigger Cats. I am good at it.

Betting against your team kind of goes against the point of being a fan
I respectfully disagree. I’ll gladly lose a wager in exchange for a win for my team. What I won’t do it turn a blind eye to people who won’t put their money where their mouth is. Being a poser goes against the point of being a fan, at least to me.

Most of the top boosters wanted Bobby back. Some wanted him before Stitt. A meeting wasn’t necessary. It was clear Bobby would be hired. I don’t know if top boosters who don’t want Bobby. I know most of them, but obviously don’t talk to them everyday. I assume top boosters are still happy UM has Bobby as the coach.

Griz are 23-6 in past 2 years. 4 playoff wins. Cats are 20-4. 0 playoff wins.

I'm not sure what about yesterday's game would inspire a ton of confidence that UM is prepped to go on a run.

Bergen was electric and he totally changed the game, but his touchdowns aside, the Griz let a 7-5 BS-OVC come into their building and match them point for point on offense.

Any team with big time playoff aspirations should steamroll an outfit like TSU, especially at home under the lights.

You are a dumb shit. The team we played was 9-3. We had them 27-6 late in third. Then 3 fumbles. Still beat them by 2 TD’s. They didn’t match us point by point. You looked up Tennessee Tech.
