Kai Johnson I apologize!!!!!!
Exactly. That's how you take a win. Good for him! Solid come back at the end thereKai Johnson stepped up when needed. GRIZ WIN 69-66
The last 6 seconds were Kai's version of "Havlicek stole the ball!"Sloppy game in all phases, but a W is a W. Tomorrow is a much needed day off before the de facto championship game on Wednesday at 7:00! Go Griz!
U R really dating yourself there. LolThe last 6 seconds were Kai's version of "Havlicek stole the ball!"
yeah, he looked amazing against a terrible team (Denver) with no inside force to challenge him. He went 0-2 on dunk attempts against Utah Tech. I don't think he'll get any opening against CSUN.Joe Pridgen is phenomenal. He is the type of player this team has sorely missed. DAWG!
Denver is not a terrible team, and they had a 7’0” C available against the Griz. His dunks stood out, but do not tell the whole story of his game. He is a very complete player and his effort/energy is contagious.yeah, he looked amazing against a terrible team (Denver) with no inside force to challenge him. Didn't help that Money got hurt in the second half cause right before he went out, you could see him start to take over the game and put the team on his back, and then when he went out, that really disrupted things.I came from Nevada to catch this game left very concerned about the continued scoring droughts this team has. Whitney quietly did his thing and kept the GRIZ in the game , Kai showed heart and hustle, everyone else well they suited up I guess.
His energy on the bench looked great. Jumping up and down, hyping his teammates up, smiling, etc. I think he'll be good to go tomorrow. Probably kept out as a precaution. What a weird game that was last night. Griz seemed sluggish after a red hot start. Really sloppy play. My dad, who has been a season ticket holder since the 80's told me at one point it was some of the worst basketball he's ever seen from a Griz team.
Montana was probably REALLY lucky they were playing a god awful team in Utah Tech.
Last night's play wouldn't win many games in-conference. Fortunately we know these guys can play better. Hopefully the day off can get them re-focused.
As for Money's injury, he crashed hard into the padding under the rim, at first I thought he just maybe took a hard shot below the waist... he did come back but his play was even more off and he was sent to the bench after. I think (hope) Travis just realized that Money was off his game and whatever injury he had was slowing him down even further and he was hurting more than helping on the court.
