Week 14 FCS Playoffs- 1st Round Scores

I'd be cringing if I were an SDSU fan. Bumped by NDSU for that #2 seed then could get Montana for their opener. Not saying they won't be favored against the Griz, but there's far easier draws than a rematch with Montana for Round 2.
There is no way that the UM even competes with SDSU. Should stay on the bus in Brookings.

We need to can this SDSU talk, all we should be focused on is TSU. Granted if both Lines don't improve and Pease decides to call the game like he did yesterday there is a chance we won't have to worry about SDSU, one week at a time.
They've had twelve games under their belt. NOW they'll improve? We gave Pease a chance. If the hunters come ARMED, maybe there is hope. TSU would have to keep one eye on the field and one on the crowd. Nothing like the sound of racking one in to get your attention. I know it gets MY attention. Thanksgiving break, no students. My guess is 15,000 tops. Might not clear 10,000 with the level of play witnessed this year, and that stellar performance yesterday. If they handed out pints of Fireball attendance could improve.

Do you think if the university were to go downtown and hand out free tickets the attendance could go up ? There is a lot of people downtown with nothing better to do. They could start at the POV. Beings it Thanksgiving weekend and all it would only seem the right thing to do.

Pencil the first game in. We got it.
Now on to SD State. Stuff the inside run and make them throw. I like our chances against their young inexperienced receivers. They don’t have the studs at TE nor the big horse rb. Offensive line isn’t near what it was, lost way too many people to the nfl.

Small scat backs and one receiver to key on. They run a lot of draws with the qb, but gronoski isn’t a quick runner.

Their defense on the other hand is stout, not much difference from last year. We just have to get the momentum and start quickly.

I Think their loss yesterday should have dropped them to #4 behind SD State and South Dakota
THIS! I just can’t believe they got a 2 seed. I don’t remember this ever occurring before. A top ranked team loses on the final weekend and gets the number 2 seed. Does anyone remember a similar situation?

USD/SDSU got screwed. Especially SDSU who would have to travel and play in the Fargo Banquet and Event Center.

I don’t care about Griz seed, but it seems odd that a loss to the no. 1 seed would drop UM so much. And with committee using Massey, did committee not see Griz are ranked 7th in Massey? The Griz made their own bed with the losses, so whatever. I’d like another shot at SDSU. I hope the Cats can stay in the tourney long enough for Griz to get another shot at them.

Well I wouldn’t pencil anything in. And if we do get to the second round, and if we stuff the inside run, Wilde and their TE’s will be more than adequate to give our defense all they can handle. Gronowski is playing much better than the start of the year and our success on the road is well….minimal.

There’s a 90% chance sdsu makes it to frisco again.

It was apparent the committee doesn't respect UM.
