Give Fife the Keys Already…

The 'keys' aren't the only problem. Tuneup is long overdue, plug wires are cracked and worn out, oil and filter are originals, and the old gas is still in the tank. The Griz Cadillac is pre-computer, so ya gotta have an old mechanic to fix it. But, yeah, throw him the keys. 🙄😂
And, then, there's the drivers, condition of the road, etc.

Almost everyone knows Logan should be starting, except Triple H, my nickname for Bobby ( Hard-Headed Hauck) !!!

Rosario's analysis is spot on and irrefutable !!!

People calling Bobby out for not playing one just cemented the two QB system going forward. Between Pease and Bobby you have two of the biggest egos in the world and are always "right" so they will not want to look like the fans dictate changes so will refuse to change. Maybe should have used Jedi mind trick and convinced them fans wanted the two QB system for years and they are finally listening, thus they would switch to one.

That being said, the article was well written and pretty darn convincing they would be better with either one fulltime vs. the shuffle format, and much better if that person was Fife. Fife tweet after the game (since been deleted) might have really cost him that chance.

Is Pease truly like that? I’ve never met him and I wouldn’t be surprised. We all know Bobby. Evidence on the field would suggest you’re probably right.

What’s your basis for saying Hauck has a huge ego? I’ve known him for 25 years and I’ve never thought that. I’ve seen him admit he was wrong several times this season. Didn’t think Fife’s gif was any big deal. That wouldn’t offend coaches even if they saw it.

Definitely worth reading. It summarizes the FACTS rather than just another opinion.

Unfortunately I have a”feeling” the staff will continue to have a “feeling” to continue the QB rotation
Let’s add to this article what Bobby has stated this year with these 2 QB’s.

1. We chart every throw. (In reference to fall camp and spring camp)
2. We have a plan (in reference to the 2 QB’s coming into the year)
3. That was by “design” to have X QB come in at that point in the game (when asked about QB rotation post game)
4. It is more by feel (Also when asked about the QB rotation)

It really seems like number 4 doesn’t mesh with the other three. At this point the way the 2 QB system has become detrimental to an offense that looked great through the first 8 games, and not so great the last 2. We literally set the program record for first downs around the halfway point of the season. That’s pretty damn efficient.

We will never be privied to if there was different packages or particular plays that went into the plan of rotating by quarters or series. It could be why the play calling looked so funky when one would come in. At this point though it doesn’t seem like they tailor the offense one way or the other and that these guys both are running the exact same offense.

At this point, with the season on the line, my guess is we see all stops pulled out of the offense. Losing 2 games we shouldn’t have necessitates that, as we’ve used up all of our mulligans.

Neither QB fixes the OL unfortunately.
If the QB’s make better reads and and don’t miss open receivers, and don’t force balls and throw interceptions, and one pitches instead of cutting in, this would help the O and o-line. More offense would likely help the line. More offense and time on field might wear down d-line.

Seems like we had great success on the perimeter in drive one and didn’t really attack it the same way the rest of the game. Maybe with KAY’s option run, but certainly not with other designs. The screens came a little too late to lighten up the box as well. 5 or 6 against 7 or 8 isn’t a good matchup in the run game.

The quarterbacks have struggled most when running game flounders. This falls squarely on losing at the LOS. The root of the problem is OL play. Right now, I don't think the Griz offense is very difficult to defend for good teams.

The O Line is pretty good. Both QBs had more than enough time. Id say receiving core and QBs are the bigger issue. However the run block game as been awful the last 2 games. Pass protection was great though
If they can’t run block effectively, and lately they haven’t, then they’re not very good.

I don't understand why we don't use the tight ends more, either qb would look better if the TE's were used more often. I believe there have been only about 18 receptions by TE's so far...so less than 2 catches a game.

Don't forget Pease he's the ones that wants AY to start and play the entire game as well as a majority of the players. The team doesn't like drama queens

Correct, timing is an issue, both QB are late on a lot of throws. Fife always throws high because his footwork isnt great he usually is falling back or fading back instead of stepping into throws so the ball is higher than it should be. Rarely is he stepping into his throws even though Pease works on that with him during practice quite often.
