We have two close losses to good teams. Normally, I'd still have optimism for the season. But none of the problems seem to have been addressed. The bonehead penalties on fourth down. The bad tackling and over pursuit. The decisions to use gimmicky plays at inopportune times. The general lack of pressure in the backfield on defense. The awful special teams mistakes. The young guys will get better, I'm sure. But I'm worried about talent leaving if things don't turn around.

Marty is knowledgeable but his enthusiasm sometimes salts my wounds. If we were playing a beautiful game I'm sure he would be fun to listen to. When we are winning, everything looks different. When we are not playing well, I am cranky.
