Official! Game Day Thread vs the Southern Kittens

I guess miracles do happen. Replay showed he picked up his out of bounds foot and leaped off the inbound foot to catch the ball with both feet inbounds. They called it a TD on the field and would have needed proof to change the call. It was close. I'm no ref, but I love the outcome. The strip on the last play was legit.

I respectfully disagree with the call. He didn't re-establish himself.

In the fourth quarter, we had no answer for Ostmo. Ride that horse for the rest of the year and you will be fine. Keep your D off the field.

Any good team is control to control the ball and milk the clock. Gris will need to get some d if they wanna make it out of this conference above 500.

They may get better before the end of the year though. Sac State is a disappointment and so is UC Davis. Griz stink. The end.

Edited: I guess UC Davis pulled it out. But winning at the last second against Portland State does not make them good.

We're good, you're right. We'll find out how good next week. I think you guys are some adjustments away from being competitive. It's against Bobby's nature but you need, in my opinion, to start playing a really soft, between-the-20s type of defense and try to bend but not break. You don't have the speed, skill, or d-line to play so aggressively. But the offense, esp QB and skill guys, are as good as anyone's in the country. Run the ball, play action to the 4 good WRs, and quit leaving the crappy secondary on islands and you'll be right there in Nov. One guys opinion. Flame away.
 
Went back and looked at the play. Questionable if he was forced out as our LB kinda whiffed on him.

If he was fine. He did not make an effort to re establish himself. He takes 4 steps out of bounds. His first step in bound is his foot that scores the TD. It was the wrong call.

None of that really matters tho. We let a mediocre Weber team score 40+ in WaGriz after we let a dog shit EWU team score 40+ on the road. Right now this defense is not good. This special teams is not good. Offense is pretty good. It’s like the opposite of most Griz teams. Unless drastic changes are made to get better. We just look very much like a one win playoff team.

Just not a good football team right now.

It makes me nauseous to say, but NorthernCat is right. HOWEVER, Hauck won’t change…
