Montana: Ellis was slowed by injuries this past spring, but is expected be to a factor for the Griz at wide receiver this season.

High School: He was a three-year starter at wide receiver and defensive back for the Skyview High School Storm, where he had almost 2,500 all-purpose yards, as well as 109 receptions for 1,893 yards and 24 TDs, 8 kick/punt returns for touchdowns, along with 143 tackles, 11 tackles for loss and 9 interceptions….his league’s Defensive Player of the Year as a senior, when he was also named all-state…his varsity football teams had a three-year record of 28-9 and won league titles in 2010 (9-3), 2009 (10-3), and 2008 (9-3)…a member of the stat champion 4×4 relay team in track…also lettered three times in baseball…his high school football coach was Steve Kizer.
