Montana: Brock had an excellent spring and will start at the “Mike” linebacker position. He is Montana’s sixth leading returning tackler.

2010: His career was put on hold this season as he recovered from off-season surgery and he redshirted. He would have been the team’s 10th leading returning tackler.

2009: He saw considerable action as a true freshman playing in 14 games (he did not play in the UC Davis game due to injury). He was 17th on the team with 30 tackles. He was tied with two other players for the fourth most interceptions on the team with two.

High School: He was a three-year football letterman at Bozeman High School…an all-state and all-conference selection as a senior…team captain in 2008…all-conference pick as a junior…his high school coach was Troy Purcell.

Career Highs: He had 8 tackles in UM’s FCS quarterfinal game against Stephen F. Austin in 2009. He had interceptions against Portland State and Stephen F. Austin as a true freshman. He had an interception in UM’s 2011 quarterfinal FCS playoff win over Northern Iowa.

Personal: His parents are Tina and Christopher Coyle of Bozeman. His major is business (marketing). Birth date: Oct. 12, 1990.

Quoting coach Delaney: “Brock has very good speed and quickness at the `mike’ linebacker position. You add Brock to Tripp, Kanongata’a, and Josh Stuberg and you’ve got a special group of guys and some really, really good linebackers.”
