Montana: Ty is vying for playing time at middle linebacker and may play on special teams as well. He has been slowed by an injury the past couple of seasons, but looked good in 2012 spring drills.
2011: He was unable to play due to an injury.
2010: He played in four games, and missed several games due to an injury…he was recognized as Montana’s top male student-athlete this year, maintaining a 3.97 GPA in chemistry.
2009: He was a redshirt at UM.
High School: He was a first team all-state selection his senior year at Great Falls High School…his senior season he compiled 171 total tackles along with 14 stops for loss….team captain as a senior when the Bison advanced to the state semi-final game…selected to play in both Montana’s East-West Shrine Game and the Montana-North Dakota All-Star game…his high school football coach was Gregg Dart.
Career Highs: He had 3 assisted tackles in the 2010 opener against Western State.
Personal: He is a chemistry major and he hopes to become a doctor. His dad, Kirk, was an outstanding linebacker at Montana State and was an All-Big Sky Conference selection in 1984, while his mom, Kelly (Angelos), played basketball at MSU. Birth date: May 1, 1990.
