Wow. If I recall, LAST year at this time almost EVERY offer (at least publicized) was to a Montana kid. This hits different...
Yes way more out of state and Hauck usually doesn't have a dozen knowns until August
Is this more due to scholarships balancing out after the covid super seniors?

I think that has to be a big part of it. We have been able to get exceptions for another year for guys like Walker. Hauck talked a lot a few years ago about how the covid scholarships were creating an imbalance, we may just have more opening up next year.
Also, as much as I am always vocally for recruiting Montana kids and them being the heart and soul of Grizzly Culture, I also have to admit that CDA's points genuinely led me to seeing that we perhaps need to be bringing in more out of state kids for their experience.
And, lastly, this may be also part of recognizing that the neighbors have also greatly improved in recruiting Montana kids. If we aren't going to get 90% of the best MT kids like we did in Hauck's first time around the block, then we gotta take the best we can get from MT and supplement hard.
I've been pondering this, and I'm kind of glad to see recruiting starting this way. Now we just need to bury the neighbors' program, and get the best of all of the above. I give it three more years until we are back to the appropriate status quo. MSU is about to hit a brick wall in Montana.

A question...why are some names highlighted? Second question...what does it mean when the word "pinned" is listed next to a recruit's name?
Bolded names are just new additions to the list. Pinned is when player has set the offer to show at top of "X" account.
