Have rarely seen so many different Big Sky teams picked to win conference title. NBC ranks the Bobcats first, Griz 4th. Griz PG Ahmaad Rorie an All Big Sky 1st team pick.

Not sure how CBT came to this Conclusion but the Cats have a couple of all league players. And Brian Fish is an outstanding coach but I feel they don’t have depth to compete for the crown. Interesting to note that the other rating services don’t even have Cats in the top 5.

"replacing the production of Jacob Wiley would be too much for any mid-major program"
ahhh...what could've been...

What's the story there.

That he started as a Griz

Yes I know that but why did he leave.

Colter, over at Skyline Sports, had an interesting podcast interview with Jake Wiley before the season started last year. Basically, Wiley credited his own personal "issues" and a lack of focus on basketball as the trigger for quitting the Griz basketball program and walking on with the football team. He said it wasn't until he'd left UM that he decided to give basketball another try in a JC program.

Regardless of any reasonable logic, the Cats should be considered Pre-season Champs every year. It makes for good Fan-Board banter.

:p
