Chalk up another outstanding lineman recruit. Cole is a 3 star out of St John Bosco in California. He's a punishing blocker from a legit, competitive program. A great pick up!

What I didn't know is that he had MT ties according to his commitment announcement

Big time commit...I love the offensive linemen that we’re getting in this class. Future road graders.

Agree! Cole had 8 or 9 other offers according to the article by Amie.

A nice write up on Cole. Saw a video interview he did where he talked about getting looks from UCLA, Yale, Columbia, Army and Air Force.

Home state of Montana? Is there a backstory that hasn’t been widely publicized?

Apparently his father is from MT.

https://www.pe.com/2016/09/23/how-r...nged-after-he-barely-survived-a-hunting-trip/

from the article re his father - "Throughout his life, Sain has always been hungry for adventure. Growing up in Montana, he’s been on countless hunting trips, sometimes trekking out up to 20 miles into the wilderness."

Good find, wow what an ordeal. I saw Payton said Cole grew up in Hamilton area until he was 10.

Is he a Stitt recruit committing now, or a Bobby recruit?

Stitt offered & Bobby sealed the deal.
I'll call Cole a Stobby recruit. ;)
Are you really keeping score?

Mr. Titleist, by chance did you notice the two news articles posted in the thread were available to read in there entirety, free of cost?

Yawn...

Don't like the show, change the channel.

Oh I don't need to like your "show" kid. You seem to like yourself well enough for all of us.

Good write up from Amie here:

- the Hauck/Green visit sealed the deal
- Germer remaining on staff played a big part
- had 8 or 9 other offers
- dad played for the Cats and was an all big Sky player but Cole grew up watching Hauck and Griz

Awesome! Was hoping for this one, wasn't aware of his Montana ties. Legit & competitive are gross understatements about his HS program. St John Bosco is one of the top programs nationally, finishing ranked in the top 5 in each of Cole's last two seasons. Hopefully more will follow in his footsteps.

I agree! For me, he was top 3 along with Fouch and Sulser. I was saying in another thread that anytime you have a chance to get a 3 star from one of the top high school programs in the country (let alone an OL) then that is a big pick up. His 9 other offers are evidence of that.
