Looks like Glacier will once again have 3 players in the top 20...

Stitt needs to get on the horn and make some inroads to that pipeline... its embarrassing that a top school (100 miles north of Missoula) in the state sends 95% of its athletes to msu.

However, he has done a good job with the Helena Capital pipeline. Dillon has also shifted over to MSU since Stitt took over and a lot of that has to do with MSU's Ag and Engineering programs. But Dillon used to be primarily a Griz recruiting hotbed.

Vim. When you see the name pepe, you think of a scat back/db... but he is a load WR but I like him at Saftey... thoughts?

BTW I love Sulser, but Drew Turner is the best player on the board.
Kid runs a 4.45 40 and under 11 in the 100 meter.

Montana dosen't usually have RB's like that...

Well Glacier pretty much used him all over the place on offense so that's why I just threw scatback on there. But right now he is in the conversation as the top safety next year. Good film in all three phases of the game.

Vim, I know last year you had some pretty good info on where some of the kids would end up and you were usually right. Do have any good insight on your top 10 and what schools they might lean towards or who may have an inside track on recruiting them? Thanks again also for all the great work you do.

Everyone should be well aware of Gabe Sulser's Griz connections by this point as they have been talked about on here for a while. So if he doesn't go FBS, I'd say I'm 95% sure he will be a Griz. Nick Germer's father is Chad so....I think everyone can connect the dots on that one. Then you start looking at where recent Montana kids have gone. Kalispell Glacier has been a heavy MSU territory while Helena Capital has consistently produced future Griz players. But what it really comes down to is the offer and the major the kid wants to pursue, at least in my opinion. Too early to tell on a lot of these kids as it is still relatively early in the recruiting process.

No 4 on your list Vim? Max Morris. The one I know is from Helena High not Glacier. Are there two? The Helena kid is a great young man. Not sure he is No 4 in the state but he is a good kid and has good size.

Oh. And I watched Capital's Quick at the Shrine game combine last spring. Holy Moly that kid is strong. Put a check mark by his name!

He is moving to Glacier so he will be a TE for the Wolfpack in the fall of 2017. Max made no all-conference or all-state lists but that doesn't mean he isn't a really good prospect or football player. He also has academic pedigree so recruiters will take notice....and they already have. MSU, UM, NDSU, UND, and Princeton are actively recruiting him while Washington's current TE coach follows him on twitter.

As a football player, he has the perfect build for a college level TE and he runs well. He was forced to block a lot last year for Helena High so he got some much needed experience in the trenches as he filled in for Taylor England (out with an injury) for most of the year.

Quick is currently my favorite line prospect but I've heard from several different sources that Carson Shuman of Capital is considered the better offensive lineman prospect despite the fact Conor has been a 1st Team All-State Guard since his sophomore year in AA. There is also a laundry list of other big-bodied interior line prospects in this class.

Great to see Mark Estes on that list, will be an excellent safety in the FCS one day!

One of the best athletes in this class. Explosive playmaker and a super-competitive kid.

Turner is the real deal, and looks bigger than the 205 listed..packing some serious muscle. Watching him at the gym the other day, he "walks" up to the basket, looks up, and proceeds to slam it down with both hands..Crazy!
I can tell you the Griz coaches base a lot of their recruiting, especially in-state players, on what they see in their summer camps. They want players who want to be a Griz, and see how they interact with the other players..
For whatever reason, Glacier Coach Bennett, while being a former Griz standout, is not a big proponent of promoting his players and their abilities, and doesn't necessarily "encourage" them to get to these camps. In fact, he has in the past taken the whole team to Coeur d'Alene and Spokane to their camps instead.
Hopefully, Turner elects to participate in the Griz camps this summer. He is definitely high on the Griz radar. But to answer your question, Payton, I doubt the "pipeline" improves until Stitt gets Bennett on board..Just my thoughts..

Braxton Hill from Anaconda, is that Bill's son? If so, his sister, Torrey, played hoops for the Griz and was a stud. Looks like he plays LB....Griz are always looking for great ones there.

One of the better inside linebackers in the state next year.
